He didn't get a fair shake, but I simply didn't watch the Nets enough this season to say if it was warranted. As an outsider and non-biased fan, I don't think 28 games is fair when you have so many new pieces to work in, and a major aspect of your team has been banged up (Brook Lopez) and missed substantial amount of time.

Get me doeeeeee JR mah dude

J.R. went M.J. on the Suns in the final min of that game man lol Oh and Felton most likely out 4-6 weeks. Fractured pinkie, most likely will require surgery.

I have no idea what to expect from the Knicks tonight. Could come out completely flat / tired after yesterday. But, the great thing about the NBA .... Every win is equal. Win this one and we can get back on a win streak before STAT returns.

I only did top 10 hip hop/rap because I can't mix other genres, and I don't listen to other genres enough. ***This list is simply what I listened to the most, too. It's not necessarily the best lyrically, talented, etc. I realize Nas isn't on here but I just didn't listen to his album that much.*** 1. Kendrick Lamar- Good Kid, Maad City 2. Big Sean - Detroit 3. Rick Ross - Rich Forever 4. Lupe Fiasco - Food and Liquor II 5. Frank Ocean - Channel Orange 6. Good Music - Cruel Summer 7. The Game - Jesus Piece 8. Meek Mill - Dreams and Nightmares 9. Wale - Folarin 10. Fabolous - The Soul Tape 2

Will Kobe average 30 ppg this season?
JYD replied to kingfish's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
No. Eventually Dwight will start to be more a force offensively, Pau will get into a groove in this offense, and Nash will do some scoring as well running the PnR. I don't see Kobe avg more than 25 ppg as long as everyone stays healthy. -
I think the Lakers should definitely be the favorite. Knicks haven't oooked good in their past few games, their defense hasn't been there and their offense has been somewhat out of sync (outside of Melo / JR). Going all the way out to L.A. on Xmas day is really tough, and now that Nash is back, I expect the Lakers to really come out with some revenge on their minds. I just hope for a close, entertaining game!

They call charges too often sometimes, but it seems any time you raise your arms above your shoulders they call you for a foul.... The charge is a very useful play and is basically an art, which is what Nitro was alluding to. Jared Jeffries was a guy who absolutely terrific at it. I miss that aspect of him on the Knicks, who very rarely take a charge now.

Lol. This entire game was clown city man. The officiating, the Knicks play. What a [expletive]ing joke. That Tyson - Noah exchange was pretty heated, thought Tyson was gonna take him out with the headbutt lol I'm surprised the Knicks didn't call off the dogs earlier in the 4th qtr, but they kept fighting til the end which i'll give 'em credit for. but the officiating tonight really did them in. it's impossible to make a comeback when almost every call goes against them. And the few calls that did go the Knicks way were terrible calls, too!

lol #Wack Man the Knicks are playing awful, especially offensively! I can't wait for them to get Amar'e and Shumpert back. Even Rasheed. That 2nd unit is weak AF right now!

Wow, I miss this guy. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a154/Ty17/brodie_3.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a154/Ty17/brodie_8.jpg

You could make a case for Durant and Carmelo over LeBron. It's the most valuable player award, not the best player award.
-
LeBron hasn't picked up a foul since December 8th
JYD replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
He gets every call when he goes to the hoop so i'm assuming it's a combo of good defense and getting every call from the refs -
Talk about giving kids incentives ... if they give you off that will really help.

Avery isn't going anywhere for a while. Now, if they lose another 8 out of 10 or something there will certainly be rumblings. But I don't even see that happening anyway. Nets are too good of a team to lose 16 out of 20 games. I'm not sure exactly what's wrong with them right now. Johnson seems to be playing a bit better. I guess they really need Williams to pick up his scoring load. They really need him to get 20 ppg night in and night out and bring that FG% up.

Lol Melo was fine. Only time BK even 'contained' him was when the started doubling him in the 3rd qtr...but finally they moved the ball and others started to hit some shots. feel like i say this every game but damn JR Smith was [expletive]ing great tonight
-
lol yeah totally different game with Melo playing tho
-
Knicks obviously miss Melo. Doesn't help when 5 or so 3 pt shots go in and out or go 3-9 from the line and you play pretty much no defense. But, 60 points thru 3 quarters? Offense has clearly been the bigger issue.
-
Blah. No Melo again tonight. Hopefully he plays Wednesday versus Brooklyn. Amar'e was cleared to practice, by the way. Hopefully will return sometime next week.

Kyrie is incredible man. I was skeptical of him coming out of College, and then he had a nice rookie year, but that dude can flat out play. Only a matter of time, I think, before he ends on a D-Will / CP3 type of level as a PG. I can tell he has the court vision and ability to be a great passer, unfortunately he plays on a team with no one to pass the ball to. Tristan Thompson is not existent most of the time, Varejo was hurt and not a great offensive threat anyway, and who else do they really have that can be taken seriously? As for the Knicks, another good win. Had to grind this one out, but it didn't really surprise me. It's tough for the Knicks to eek out offense at the end of games without Carmelo. I think this would've been an easy, double-digit win if Melo played and was at 100%. Copeland was OK, but his defensive effort is horrible and his rebounding is below-average for a 4 man. Novak had a nice first half, but can easily disappear when they cover him as tightly as they did in the 2nd half. Felton and Kidd were good once again, but Chandler was pretty much the difference maker. Anyway, it's a good win for the Knicks and hopefully can keep it going versus Houston on Monday. I really hope Anthony plays.

Connecticut elementary school shooting

I don't think that many people are proposing a complete ban of guns. I'm not. It's a right in that we have as citizens to bear arms. But, just because there are responsible gun owners, doesn't mean we can't make getting these guns more difficult. You can walk into many gun shows in this Country and purchase a gun with no background check! And assault weapons? Those need to be banned. No one has a need for those. So, overall, there's more we can do. I think it's impossible to get guns completely out of society anyway...there would probably be a black market for them if there was a complete ban. So I'm not advocating a complete ban of guns. But, to say that we shouldn't look at gun laws at all and it has absolutely nothing to do with these mass shootings is pure ignorance! It's clearly a major contributing factor! -

Absurd. That's a poor excuse to allow these things to continue the status quo and not act upon these continued mass shootings. I agree gun laws are not nearly the only thing. Many crazy people will still find guns. But, do we have to make it so easy? -

A ban on assault rifles (which has been initially reported as the weapon used) is certianly something the country needs to look at. Stricter laws need to happen, but not a complete ban. Plenty of responsible gun owners out there who have every right to own one. But there's plenty of loopholes that need to be closed in some of the laws. No need to get into specifics because you'll disagree with me anyway. -
Melo had plenty of leverage, too, if not all. The owner pushed for him (not D'Antoni) and was determined to make it succeed. That's why what Magic Johnson said has been right all along. He was never a good fit going in...their only hope is Nash and to run his offense thru him, but other than that, the Lakers are a mess.
