  1. I'm not sure what his system will look like. With the spread, spread option, gimmicky 2 pt conversions, etc. What will he coach like in the NFL? Will he change it? If so, what makes Chip Kelly unique and fit to be Head Coach of the Philadelphia Eagles? Basically my point is this - his success at Oregon has been based on his high-tempo, fast, spread offense with gimmicky features to his coaching style. Exciting? Yes. But, if he's going to amend it for the NFL game, what makes Chip, well, Chip? Interesting comments he made on Nick Foles in 2011: Kelly on Foles in 2011: “I’ll tell you what; I’m glad Nick Foles is graduating. I catch myself watching him in awe sometimes. …Nick is a hell of a football player. That kid’s a warrior. He’s as good as anyone in the country.”
  2. You know who supported gun-control? This guy: http://cdn.thedailybeast.com/content/dailybeast/articles/2013/01/15/you-know-who-else-supported-gun-control/_jcr_content/body/inlineimage.img.503.png/1358266247106.cached.png http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/01/15/you-know-who-else-supported-gun-control.html Article by [[[sENSIBLE]]] Conservative David Frum:
  3. No one is dumb enough to think that you can legislate every single incident. You can't, we get that man. But what we do have the ability to do is make them as rare as possible. These major national incidents are becoming way too common now over the past several years. Any type of weapon that can shoot a lot of people in very little time should not be made available to just any citizen. The guy from Aurora shot 70 people in the matter of minutes. If he had just a simple hand gun where he had to re-load, or as the founding fathers intended, if he had a god damn musket, he isn't shooting 70 people in the matter of minutes. You want to have a hand gun in your house because you feel safer? That's fine. I can understand that, and have no problem with that for self-defense or even if you are a hunter and have guns for that, or a sportsman. That's part of some people's hobby. But making guns more difficult to get into the hands of criminals and limiting high capacity magazine clips that can kill a lot of people in very little time (see Newtown), those need to be banned. And, to act like just because criminals get their hands on guns, we should do nothing .... that's like saying people will drink and drive, so we should not have any type of DUI laws in place. I'm pretty sure alcohol related accidents have dropped quite a bit since 1996. I don't have the statistics right in front of me, but I read about it several months ago that when stricter laws were enacted on Drinking and Driving, the amount of alcohol related auto deaths dropped quite a bit.
  4. http://jcolenation.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/124uf02.pngHe mad.
  5. The proposals were terrific. If the main idea is to help stop national gun tragedies such as Aurora or Netown, a lot of this stuff makes sense to me.
  6. I don't think he'll be a good NFL coach at all to be honest. I think his stuff worked well in College, but I don't see a lot of the gimmicky offensive plays working. Like, for example, will he go for 2 in the first quarter? Or will his entire personality/profile as a coach change? It'll certainly be interesting seeing how his teams play and what characteristics his NFL team takes on compared to the characteristics of his Oregon teams.
  7. my sister e-mailed this to me this morning. hilarious
  8. Only because of injuries? Felton has been huge in what they were doing during the hot start.
  9. Ok, semi-automatic? You walk into a school and it works that same - you can kill a lot of people in very little time.
  10. Interested in more on that. Do you have a source or is this just something you've 'heard' before?
  11. Amen RD. All I'm saying is that status quo is unacceptable... I don't think anyone has a 'need' for guns in our modern-day society in the U.S. Do I recognize that some people enjoy guns as sport (like hunting, etc.)? Yes. I'm fine with people being able to own guns. There's a ton of responsible gun owners out there. But, that just because people can 'still get' guns doesn't mean we should make everything and anything legal and easy for idiots, criminals, and the mentally ill to get into their hands. I can't argue on this issue with people who think anyone should be able to go to a gun show and buy automatic rifles and high capacity magazine clips. It's ridiculous.
  12. nah i'm not sayin that. the girls are the only thing that made the movie watchable. but what i am saying is they could've toned done some of the ridiculousness but it was expected going in lol.
  13. Did anyone actually think he was gonna be good? He couldn't even start for Cuse, how he gonna play in the nba?? Andddd the Cavs are terrible.
  14. That's not why. He's not going to shoot 50% for the year. LOL
  15. Just saw Project X. Shit was pretty much retarded for the most part. It started off fine, most it actually being somewhat realistic. Then it just took a ridiculous turn towards the middle of the movie. They really didn't need to make it THAT dramatic and absurd. First of all, there's not that many good looking girls in high school with figures like the movie ... lol there was like 200 girls there that looked like they were college or even in their mid 20's... like chicks in high school don't look like that. yeah there's some but not a ton of them in school. And just the entire scale of it was just way too unrealistic for me to even remotely enjoy the movie
  16. In defense of Lance: First, Every single person was doing them in the sport. It was pretty much the only way to compete. Secondly, he has done a ton of great things with his fame, so it's hard to get on him as much as I normally would. All he's done through the LiveStrong campaign has been terrific. Not shocked, but Still disappointing to hear though. I'll be honest, I actually was a believer that he never took them...He passed hundreds of drug tests (amazing to me) and is still going to admit he did it.
  17. Oh, no, I do have an argument. Actually, not an argument, it's fact. Guns harder to get = less murders. I realize you won't stop every single person from having a gun. You won't stop every single senseless act of violence, or every single murder in general. But if you're telling me we should do nothing about gun violence (specifically mass shootings, aurora, columbine, newtown ct) than I can't even have a discussion with you. It's come to a point where we need to move in a direction that makes it more difficult for guns to get into the hands of the mentally ill. I realize it's not your average gun owner going out there and killing 10 people at your local shopping mall. To tell me that people will find other ways to kill people like with knives, baseball bats, etc. is comical to me. Yeah, that will and still does happen on occasion, but it's not nearly as efficient as simply loading a bullet and pulling a trigger. Or in the U.S., simply buying an AR-15 and blasting away at a school room full of children.
  18. They don't have average role players though. They have J.R. Smith, who has been the sixth man of the year and could start for almost any team and put up 20ppg, they have Raymond Felton, who has is playing at a borderline all-star level this season, they have a NBA HOF Vet in Jason Kidd, and one of the best Centers in the NBA in Tyson Chandler.
  19. status quo is unacceptable. just because idiots and the crazy will find 'a way' to get guns doesn't mean we have to make it so easy. idiot logic, lulz
  20. probably go with the honda. newer and civic will last you 20 years and get you like 40 mpg probably
