lol u r a bitch well if u have like 10 drinks over like 7 hours it's not going to have much of an effect lol

Yup. Probably a good thing they lost to Chicago, to be honest. If we had won that game, it may have sparked the entire 'is the team as good without Melo debate?' which is hilarious. That was a fun game to watch. JR Smith was chucking thru the first three quarters and was bricking everything...finally made a few in the 4th qtr.

Eh. Knicks also missed very makeable shots. Felton missed a few near the rim he finished in the Miami game. 5th foul on Chandler killed us too, because he couldn't do anything defensively and had to tone it back rebounding wise.

Patience is thin? It's more like no one in Miami gives a flying [expletive] about the season until the playoffs because that's all that matters. 70 wins in a reg season, for example, would mean virtually nothing if they lost in the ECF.
-
True, but even from the start it didn't seem like a usual pumped up Miami crowd for a game versus the Knicks. Atmosphere really seemed dead tonight. And Wade and Bosh were probably the worst I've ever seen them. At least against the Knicks.

when i said 25 pt blowout i clearly meant in the knicks favor. that game was amazing man. the knicks really, really surprised me tonight with Melo. Never thought they'd be able to orchestrate that kind offense. But, was it me or did Miami's arena and vibe feel dead? I just didn't feel the same passion Miami usually comes out with when the face the Knicks. Must've been lack of Melo/STAT

This could be the best book I've ever read: http://www.insidehighered.com/sites/default/server_files/styles/large/public/chris-hayes-twilight-of-the-elites.jpg

thanks man. yeah i missed the jr smith gw shot last night because i was a 24 hour animal ER. i was supposed to go to the game too anyway, i just hope it's a fun game to watch. take my mind off things for a few hours

i've been having a bad day [expletive]a my dog just died. i figured it's bound to get worse

I have a strange feeling the Knicks are going to get absolutely killed in this one. I mean like...Miami by 25 type of a night.

Rivers is super talented IMO. But he should've stayed another year in College. At least. The problem I have with Rivers is he is clearly a tweener - he is a SG (with a 2-guard mentality--score) in a PG's body. That can definitely spell trouble if the player isn't A. Fully developed (mostly mentally), which he clearly isn't. But also B. When he's not a real consistent jump-shooter.

Dwight's FT's in the 4th Quarter
JYD replied to NomarFachix's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
I agree. There's no real difference between them at the FT line in the 4th qtr. But I just rather have Shaq's personality. He was mean on the court. Howard, it just seems like it's gotten to the point where everything is a joke. The bits and pieces I've watched of him this year, there's times where it looks like he's not even trying to break a sweat. Idk if his back is still bothering him (would be a fair excuse IMO), or that's just the way he's playing. -
New George Zimmerman Photo Released
JYD replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
come on though. trayvon had his hood up and was carrying a pack of skittles. zimmerman had every right to follow him and shoot him. let's face it, he was black and was clearly trying to cause trouble walking through an apparently very exclusive neighborhood. -
Dwight's FT's in the 4th Quarter
JYD replied to NomarFachix's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Similar hack-a-shaq mentality I'm sure but IMO Shaq was 10x the player in both their primes. Plus, Shaq's demeanor...he DOMINATED. Howard's really become a bit of a clown. -
missed the game because i had to take my dog to the ER but that was awesome when i checked my phone and we won. i have the LP but the game was blacked out smfh...seeing everyone's reaction on twitter was awesome. would've loved to see it. especially with JR being my favorite Knick... i was supposed to go to the game tonight too
-
Great post, totally agreed. But I'd also put the Knicks and even Magic into the category of squeezing out every ounce with the current roster. Knicks have 13 wins with no Amar'e and no Shumpert. A few games without J Kidd, too.

Not a Coach of the Year. Coach of the Year goes to a team that has surpassed it's predictions. Miami has not surpassed their predictions.
-
Really? Is he a douchebag?
-
I could coach that team of Hall Of Famers. I'm sorry, but I'm not giving the Coach of the Year to a Coach who has LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. No way.
-
Obviously WAY too early. But do you guys have any thoughts/predictions on who it should be a month into the season, or who will end up winning it? A few candidates that come to mind... Jacque Vaughn (ORL) Mike Woodson (NYK) Avery Johnson (BKN) Lionel Hollins (MEM) Jacque Vaughn's club has competed hard all season with limited overall talent. They just beat LA and Golden State on the road. Pretty impressive. Woodson, Johnson, and Hollins records speak for themselves.
-
This is pretty stupid... doesn't take into account the person's defensive abilities. Lol. You could put Carmelo's numbers up against LeBron's the past 9 years or so and Carmelo's numbers are going to look fairly similar...difference is the defensive side of the ball LeBron is 10x better which makes him a better overall player

Lakers break their own defensive record
JYD replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Eh - If you want Amar'e, we'll gladly take Pau off your hands. -
lololololol d'antoni basically said this team is slow and not athletic enough right now
-
lol funniest part is no one goes to the games to see the spurs "Stars" anyway...they have no draw.
