It's not a big deal, but I'm just wondering what fights did you think the Habs won? The only one I can think of is the Krecji fight.

Maybe Ferrence, and I hope you're not counting Price/Thomas a fight. .

Considering we have only one to two fight wins all year, yes haha.

I am currently watching a game from the '87 finals. So insane to go back and watch this now. You almost forget how different the game used to be. Crazy how much [expletive] the defensemen were able to get away with back then.

What an embarrassment for some of the Islanders players, specifically Martin and Gillies. Absolute sucker punch (or attempted) and then a dirt hit followed by punching a defenseless player and then taunting him while he's laying injured on the ice. What a buffoon. We don't need players like that in the NHL. That's total bush league and I'd be extremely disappointed if Gillies wasn't gone for 15 games. Godard should get the same for coming off the bench as well, what a [expletive]in' moron that guy is as well.

I'd come down hard on the Islanders coach and organization as well, this is the third time it's happened this SEASON. It happened against Montreal in the pre-season and twice against the Pens. It's ridiculous that this is continuing.

Can't wait to see the suspensions. Unfortunately, suspending plugs like Martin, Gillies, and Haley won't really hurt the Islanders, so I am wondering the NHL comes down heavy with a fine also.

Hi hater!

I really like the guy as a player. I think he is great. Just kind of curious when you see his name in the newspaper at least once a week with guys around the league complaining about him. Even his own teammates.

I am sure a lot of this is exaggerated, but you can't deny that there is way more complaining about him than most other young players. So I think there is definitely something there. Not to mention he passes the eye test, as far as on-ice douchebaggery.

Again, I actually like him as a player and of course I'd love him if he was on the Flyers.

“Hockey is a tough, physical game, and it always should be. But what happened Friday night on Long Island wasn’t hockey. It was a travesty. It was painful to watch the game I love turn into a sideshow like that.

“The NHL had a chance to send a clear and strong message that those kinds of actions are unacceptable and embarrassing to the sport. It failed.

“We, as a league, must do a better job of protecting the integrity of the game and the safety of our players. We must make it clear that those kinds of actions will not be tolerated and will be met with meaningful disciplinary action.

“If the events relating to Friday night reflect the state of the league, I need to re-think whether I want to be a part of it.”

Mario, STFU. You want to see a travesty? Check out your roster and scroll down until you see "Cooke, Matt".

Need to "rethink whether you want to be a part" of the league? Give me a break.

I've watched all of Subbans few fights and not once has he taken off his helmet and he even apoligizes in the article.

Gill was being sarcastic when he stated that. He hates the new flashy hockey but littarly that night he had dinner with Gills entire family.

Mike Richards is Mike Richards.

It's just funny how Subban is a [expletive] for talking without backing it up yet when he fights he still gets critiqued. We were missing three out of our starting six defensemen and PK steps up and still manages to cause some stir.

Even when he hit a game winner and did the archer, they intererviewed players from Buffalo and elsewhere who said how classless that was forcing him to apoligize for celebrating a game winner yet if he played for Florida you'd never hear about it.

It's just funny how he gets called out for being cocky when 80% of the NHL doesn't fight so that must mean they don't talk trash or anything.

I figure you just hate him because Richards hates him which is fine but it's just funny what label he has from one guy and for the city he plays for.

I clearly said I do not hate him, but OK, keep believing that. I think he is a good player and he is fun to watch.
